Frosinone, Alvini: "Juventus deserved the win, but they adapted to us"

Massimiliano Alvini, Frosinone manager, spoke to DAZN after the opening-day Serie A defeat to Juventus: "Juventus’ victory is deserved, because in the first half, especially in the middle part, we were less effective than we can be. We only moved the ball sideways, doing things that are not really part of who we are, perhaps also out of fear. We had a good second half, played with courage, and we could also have scored. It is disappointing because at a certain moment in the match we did not do it, and against a team like Juventus you cannot afford that."

Alvini added: "Juventus ended up adapting to us. In the first half we were less effective than we know how to be, less productive. We were less direct and attacked space less. They are naturally more physical, but we can make up for that. It is a pity, because we took them on with courage".
