Frattesi: “The last year with Inter had taken me to a bad personal moment”

After Bologna's 1-0 win against Lazio, Dazn spoke to the Biancocelesti midfielder Davide Frattesi, who scored the decisive goal in the 59th minute. He discussed his fitness, his relationship with Gattuso and his celebration with Zaccagni: "The last year with Inter had taken me to a bad personal moment, regretfully, because I had a great time there and I'm still in touch with everyone. But I thought that a change of scene to find new motivation was the right choice. For a player, that is fundamental."

Davide, people were wondering how your adventure at Lazio would begin, how it would go, whether we would see the old Frattesi again. You gave us the answer today, didn't you?

"Actually, I'm not even feeling that well, in the sense that I'm still lacking a bit. Sorry about my voice but I've been out for a little while. I'm still not at 100 per cent and I haven't played a 90-minute match for quite a long time. But inside myself I've always known it: when I'm well, this is who I am. So my goal is to get to 100 per cent fitness and stay there."

Davide, can you explain the celebration with Zaccagni? What were you, two penguins?

"Yes, definitely two idiots. More than anything, two idiots. It just happened randomly. Then I'd only just come on, so I still didn't know what kind of celebration to do. I'll change it now, I'll work on it, that one is truly disgraceful (laughs, editor's note).

Maybe you can practise during the week and then with Gattuso, whom you sought out, and that was very nice. "I came here for him as well because with the national team, even though I didn't play much, I got to know him well as a man. Then I feel like I'm old school even if I haven't lived it, but for me relationships and people matter, and he is a real man. There are few like that in football, so if I have to give a hand to a real person, I go." You've only just arrived, today there are 3,500 fans, you went over there, you felt them.
