Donyell Malen scores again and keeps leaders AS Roma’s perfect run going

Donyell Malen again showed his value to AS Roma. The Netherlands international opened the scoring in Monday's away game against Torino (0-2). The win sends the Romans to the top of Serie A.

Malen was central to everything in the first half. He headed wide from close range and had a goal ruled out for offside. A few minutes before the break, the forward finally tapped in after sloppy Torino defending.

Roma took that lead into half-time, but could not add to it after the restart. Nahuel Molina did force Torino goalkeeper Lucas Perri into a save with a powerful effort.

In the 93rd minute, Niccolo Pisilli made it a more comfortable 0-2 for the away side. A few minutes later, the final whistle went and Roma could celebrate both the win and top spot.

That was another goal for Malen and it takes him to six, enough to put him top of the Serie A scoring chart. Next up is Saturday's home clash with reigning champions Inter, who currently sit fourth.
