Done Deal – Lazio Agree to Sell 24-Year-Old Forward
Lazio striker Gabriele Artistico is set for another experience in Serie B, as he’s expected to complete a permanent transfer to Padova.
The Background
The 24-year-old is a Parma youth product whom the Biancocelesti poached on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, but he never played a competitive match for the club. He spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Juve Stabia and then Cosenza. Last term, he enjoyed a solid campaign at Spezia, scoring 14 goals in 33 appearances.
Gabriele Artistico No Included in Lazio Plans
The Italian striker returned to Formello this summer and produced decent displays in the early pre-season friendlies, but spent the last few weeks on the sidelines nursing an injury. However, Artistico wasn’t considered part of Gennaro Gattuso’s plans, so his departure has been on the cards.
Padova & Lazio Have an Agreement for Artistico
According to Sky Sport Italia’s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio have reached an agreement with Padova for Artistico’s transfer. The Serie B club will sign the centre-forward on a permanent basis for €3.5 million. Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla adds that Avellino made a push in recent hours, but fell just short, with Padova prevailing in the end.
Will Other Strikers Leave Lazio?
Artistico might not be the last striker to leave Lazio this summer, as Petar Ratkov could also be on his way out, with Gattuso insisting that the Serbian is ill-suited to his playing system. Even Boulaye Dia attracted interest from Stade Rennais in recent days. However, the Senegalese’s departure is considered unlikely at this stage.
Andrea Pinamonti Secured, Conrad Harder on the Radar?
On the other hand, the Biancocelesti are finalising the transfer of Sassuolo forward Andrea Pinamonti, who will arrive in Rome on Wednesday evening. Moreover, several recent rumours have revealed Lazio’s interest in RB Leipzig’s Conrad Harder.
