CorSport: Two players under ‘special observation’ when Milan resume training – the reasons
AC Milan will return from their break shortly, after their friendly on Friday, and Ruben Amorim has a plan for the next few sessions.
The international break is almost done, so Milan will start seeing their players return to Milanello in the coming days ahead of the Sassuolo game this weekend. With that, Amorim is concocting plans for the return to training.
Two of interest
Corriere dello Sport write that two players will be focused on when the Rossoneri return to training after the draw against Padova; those being Mario Gila and Omari Hutchinson, as MilanPress relays.
The Englishman ‘must become a reliable resource’ in attack, after failing to show much so far. After all, he has the profile to be the starting attacking midfielder for Amorim, but he’s not delivered so far. So much so that the Portuguese is putting square pegs in round holes, using right-footed players on the right. This could change quickly, though.
Amorim’s other focus is the complete opposite to Hutchinson, interestingly. The report suggests that Gila will be a focus, specifically in regard to playing as a right-back. Talk of a change in formation has been rife recently and the Spaniard’s ability to play wider could be key.
If he were to shift wide, it would be interesting to see the knock-on impacts it could have in the squad, even where Hutchinson is concerned…
