CorSport: Milan compose three-man defender shortlist – Kim and Inacio headlining

Yesterday, it was reported that Kim Min-Jae is a target for AC Milan, but he is not the only name shortlisted.

It’s no secret at this point that Milan want a defender in January. In fact, this was known on the day after deadline day, with reports that the club had made a late (and unsuccessful) pursuit of Goncalo Inacio.

So, when Kim was linked on Monday, it wasn’t a surprise. After all, the club have had their eyes on him for some time already, but it would be a difficult deal to finalise. With this, there are other names on the shortlist.

Defensive targets

Corriere dello Sport, via MilanNews, writes that the Korean defender is indeed a target, but renewal talks with Bayern Munich are planned. So, he could become a difficult target to achieve, unless he expresses a desire to leave for more playing time.

A deal would cost at least €25 million and with him earning €7m a season in Germany, the outlay would be substantial.

So, there are others on the list. Of course, the list-topper is Inacio, whom Ruben Amorim has pleaded for for months. Alternatively, there is Tiago Gabriel of Lecce, who has been a name in the background for some time now.

It is clear that another defender will arrive, with three targets already for the January mercato.
