Samuele Ricci is one of the players who could leave AC Milan before the transfer window closes, but there needs to be some guarantees, according to a report.

Ricci failed to live up to some of the expectations that came with being the first signing of the the 2025 summer mercato last season, struggling to perform consistently. This pre-season, that has sort of continued as Ruben Amorim hasn’t been convinced by his qualities.

In other words, the midfielder is considered sellable by Milan, even if they haven’t gone as far as to exclude him from the squad. Como have expressed a concrete interest and are reportedly working on his arrival, but there are some clear demands.

Obligation, permanent, or nothing

According to Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has put his foot down in the negotiations with Como, stating that a loan with an option to buy won’t be accepted. Instead, it has to be an obligation to buy or a permanent transfer.

Cesc Fabregas’s side remain keen on the player but will need to make some sales first, after which they could perhaps table an improved offer for Milan. It should be noted that Cardinale is already annoyed with Como, as they snatched the Rossoneri talent Mattia Liberali right before his eyes.

For now, Ricci will remain focused on Milan as he’s expected to be called up for the season opener against Torino. However, his future might not be with the Rossoneri.
