CM: Milan ‘worried’ about Pavlovic after forced substitution vs. Netherlands – the latest

Last night, Strahinja Pavlovic was taken off with an injury against the Netherlands and a report has claimed that AC Milan are worried.

This season, Pavlovic has been one of the only necessities for Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese has not looked past the Serbian and he’s certainly not the first to have taken this approach. So any news of a possible injury will be a worry.

Pavlovic forced off vs. Netherlands

Calciomercato.com write that the Rossoneri are ‘keeping their fingers crossed for good news’ today, as Pavlovic’s condition is a concern. The Serbian defender was forced off with an injury, looking to be in considerable pain and being unable to continue the match.

Considering the type of player that Pavlovic is – he rarely goes down and rarely comes off if he has – this is something of a concern. Then, you’ve got the worry of how important he is to Amorim, who’s already working with a limited defence.

Mozzart Sport, a Serbian outlet referenced in the report, stated that he was forced off with ‘a noticeable limp’ and the next few hours will be crucial. Considering the Diavolo don’t return to league action until October 11th, he could be fine to recover.

Given the run of fixtures and his importance, though, he will be given as much time to recover as needed.
