CF: One of four clubs over €100m – where Milan’s wage bill ranks among Serie A rivals

Now that the summer transfer window has come to an end, we are beginning to learn more about the squad costs for 2026-27.

As they do at the end of each window, Calcio e Finanza have put together guided estimations on who will have the highest wage bill in Serie A. The overall figure for every club combined is expected to rise again from €1.1bn last season to €1.209bn now.

Inter leadd the rankings, just ahead of Juventus. Napoli and Milan complete the group of four clubs with gross wage costs exceeding €100m. For reference, last season the Rossoneri were fifth and had a wage bill closer to Lazio’s than Inter’s,

The Nerazzurri have an estimated gross wage bill of €145.8m. The Bianconeri are right behind with €145.5m. The gap between the two clubs is therefore just €300,000, leaving Inter and Juve essentially tied at the top of the table.

On the third step of the podium are Napol with €109.8m gross, while Milan occupy fourth position with €103.1m. Roma – fifth with €92.7m – remain below the €100m threshold. Behind the Giallorossi, a significant gap opens up: Atalanta, sixth , has an estimated gross wage bill of €73.8m.
