Calhanoglu, Dimarco Push for Parma Return as Stones Waits
Hakan Calhanoglu and Federico Dimarco are edging towards possible availability for Inter’s match against Parma, while John Stones remains further behind in his recovery.
According to Calciomercato.com, Calhanoglu has completed part of training with the group and is progressing towards a place in Cristian Chivu’s matchday squad. The midfielder had been sidelined by a problem with the adductor in his right thigh, missing the Serie A game against Udinese and the period after Inter’s Champions League match with Real Madrid. His return is not yet confirmed, but the latest update makes him the closest of the three to a Parma call-up.
Dimarco withdrew from Italy’s squad because of a knee problem. He has trained partly with his teammates before continuing individually, with Inter managing his workload; a place in the squad against Parma remains possible. His situation follows an earlier Inter injury update, while Calhanoglu’s adductor issue had also been reported as requiring a cautious approach.
Stones remains behind in Inter’s recovery picture
The England defender suffered a thigh muscle injury during the win over Udinese and continues to train alone. Calciomercato.com describes his recovery as still at an early stage and does not give a return date, so his availability for Parma cannot be assumed.
Inter are preparing for their first match after the international break, with the three players having Parma in their sights. Calhanoglu’s progress could give Chivu another central-midfield option; Dimarco’s partial group work keeps open the possibility of his inclusion, but neither selection is guaranteed. Earlier Inter team news also covered the squad choices shaped by player availability. Stones, for now, remains the most uncertain case.
