Atalanta want Lang, but Napoli refuse loan amid Ajax interest

Atalanta have reportedly asked Napoli for Noa Lang, who is also a potential target for Ajax, but a loan deal is not going to be considered at this stage.

The winger was purchased only a year ago from PSV Eindhoven for €25m and struggled badly to make any kind of impact at the Stadio Maradona.

His situation was so dire that he was loaned out to Galatasaray in January, but they too decided not to purchase the player outright.

Atalanta interested in Lang loan

Sky Sport Italia now claim that Atalanta have asked for the availability of Lang, only to be informed that he is for sale, so any loan agreement is out of the question.

That might change as we barrel towards the transfer deadline, but Napoli still hope to find a buyer for the Netherlands international.

The 27-year-old famously clashed with coach Antonio Conte, publicly criticising his tactics and approach to man-management after the January exit.

Lang also had problems with other Dutch figures, as Ronald de Boer slammed him when speaking to Ziggo Sport.

“I love Lang as a footballer, but not his personality. I don’t know whether Ajax should have him in their squad. If he had been that good, he would’ve stayed at Napoli and Galatasaray. There is clearly something wrong with that boy.”

The comment was because the most likely club to buy Lang this summer is Ajax, but only if first they manage to sell Mika Godts to Paris Saint-Germain.
