Albanese: Koopmeiners to Milan ‘a suggestion’ as Juventus eye Tomori and Fofana

A journalist has once again suggested that Teun Koopmeiners could become an option for AC Milan late in the window.

Giovanni Albanese – a journalist covering Juventus for La Gazzetta dello Sport – spoke to MilanVibes about the possibility that Milan and Juventus could do some business before the summer window closes next Monday.

He confirms that the managements of the two clubs have met to ‘discuss various options’. Juve’s sporting director Ricky Massara knows Fikayo Tomori quite well and would like to sign him in the event of Federico Gatti’s departure.

He also wants Youssouf Fofana, who could be useful to Luciano Spalletti in the search for midfield reinforcements. So, right at the end of the transfer window, there could be the opportunity to try and manufacture some exchanges between the two teams.

Juventus intend to sell Teun Koopmeiners, but the only offers received so far for him come from Turkey, a destination he’s not interested in. The Dutchman hopes a Premier League side comes forward, but the Rossoneri are ‘a suggestion’ at the moment.

Juve are trying to sign Franck Kessié and another centre-forward, which remains the priority. However, they need to mae room for new additions too. In addition to Koopmeiners, Nico Gonzalez would like to go to Atletico Madrid.
