AC Milan, Mendes offers Baldé: the situation

The Portuguese agent continues his close relationship with AC Milan: the Spanish winger is on the way out of the Blaugrana club.

After Diego Moreira, Jorge Mendes has offered Alejandro Balde to AC Milan. The Barcelona left-back has struggled with a number of physical problems over the last three years and was put forward as an option for AC Milan's left flank during Wednesday's meeting, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Rossoneri hierarchy turned down the valuation of the Spaniard.

No to the proposal

The plan is clear: not to spend such a high fee, more than €40 million, on another full-back, because Milan's transfer priorities lie elsewhere. Ruben Amorim's side are short in two key areas and risk staying that way all season, namely a high-level centre-back and an attacking midfielder capable of scoring a significant number of goals and setting up team-mates.

Estupinan’s future

That was one of the key points to emerge from the long meeting at Casa Milan the other day with the influential representative of the Gestifute agency. Mendes, who also represents Estupinan, was never told the Ecuadorian wide player was outside the manager's plans. In fact, with the club deciding against a major investment in another profile such as Moreira, he now looks set to stay at AC Milan next season.

Bartesaghi, Estupinan, Moreira, Saelemaekers and Chukwueze would therefore make up Ruben Amorim's options out wide in his first season as AC Milan manager.
