AC Milan, Hutchinson official: details of the new arrival for Amorim
Omari Hutchinson is an AC Milan player. The attacking midfielder and winger joins from Nottingham Forest on loan with an option to buy. Hutchinson arrived in Milan on Sunday evening and completed his medical on Monday. Amorim specifically wanted him, and he arrives just hours after Rafa Leao's departure was confirmed, with the Portuguese joining Galatasaray. At least figuratively, he'll take over from him.
This is the official statement from AC Milan:
"AC Milan announce the temporary signing, with an option to make the deal permanent, of the sporting registration of player Omari Elijah Giraud-Hutchinson from Nottingham Forest FC, until 30 June 2027.
Born in Redhill, England, on 30 October 2003, the English national and naturalised Jamaican came through the youth ranks at Chelsea and Arsenal, where he also signed his first professional contract in November 2020. He moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2022 and made his first-team debut in January 2023 in the Premier League match against Manchester City. The following season, while on loan at Ipswich Town, he helped secure promotion to the top flight after 22 years away, scoring 10 goals along the way.
Following his spell with the Suffolk club, Nottingham Forest signed him on a permanent deal in the summer of 2025. He went on to make 41 appearances and score one goal for the club.
A left-footed attacking wide player, Omari has also been a key figure for England's youth national teams. In June 2025, he won the Under-21 European Championship, held in Slovakia.
Omari Hutchinson will wear the No. 20 shirt.
