The rumours arose out of nowhere and were quickly confirmed: it looks like AC Milan and Adidas will be back together again!

Adidas served as Milan’s kit maker during three distinct historical periods. In the first, the German brand supplied the shirt in which the Rossoneri won their historic 10th Scudetto, allowing them to put a star on.

In the second era, from 1990 to 1993, Adidas replaced Kappa. Milan won the European Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup, and two Scudetti under Fabio Capello before switching to Lotto.

The third stint was by far the longest, lasting from 1998 to 2018. The 20-year period saw the two brands become synonymous with one another, thanks above all to two UEFA Champions League titles (2003 and 2007).

PUMA took over at the start of the 2018-19 season, but reports have emerged in the past couple of days claiming that Adidas will be back for a fourth spell, as there are advanced talks ongoing them taking over in 2028.

Join Oli and Ben as they talk through the news of a potential return to Adidas for Milan, including the possible revenue implications, previous kits rated and some concepts judged.
