Hibernian have drawn each of their last five Premiership games
Motherwell have not beaten Celtic in 34 attempts
Aberdeen have not scored in any of their six league games
Hearts are top of the Premiership but face a tough challenge staying there with rivals Hibernian the visitors to Tynecastle in the first Edinburgh derby of the season.
If Hearts do slip up then Celtic will be expecting to pounce as they take on a Motherwell side who have not won at Park Head in a decade.
Kilmarnock vs St Mirren (Saturday, 3pm)
There is so little between Kilmarnock and St Mirren statistically that one can only presume their tussle at Rugby Park is a close one.
These sides have both played 12 matches this season, both lost just once and both drawn six, the most recent of which was when they met at Rugby Park in the League Cup, a match which ended 2-2.
Score prediction: Kilmarnock 1 St Mirren 1
Dundee United vs Livingston (Saturday, 3pm)
Dundee United went blunt at home to Kilmarnock last weekend, racking up 18 shots but missing a penalty in a 2-0 loss.
Anything like that performance, however, ought to be good enough to take care of a Livingston side who have taken one point out of a possible 15.
Score prediction: Dundee United 2 Livingston 1
Hearts vs Hibernian (Saturday, 5.45pm)
Hibernian helped rivals Hearts go top last weekend and could be the team who help Celtic go back to the summit a week later.
Hibs were excellent in a 0-0 draw at Celtic which enabled Hearts to hit spot by crushing Falkirk 3-0. David Gray's visitors have drawn their last five in the league and in a tight game against their Edinburgh neighbours — and in a league packed with draws — expect yet another stalemate.
Score prediction: Hearts 1 Hibernian 1
Celtic vs Motherwell (Sunday, 3pm)
Celtic have failed to score in five of their last nine games and are horribly off colour at the moment.
Thursday night's 2-0 home defeat by Braga in the Europa League means they are firmly on the back foot in the race to qualify for the knockout phase, and now they have to return to take on a Motherwell side who are as steely as their nickname implies.
The Well are unbeaten in the league with five draws prefacing last week's 2-0 win over Aberdeen. And while their record against Celtic is atrocious — no wins in 34 — they can still trouble the champs.
Score prediction: Celtic 1 Motherwell 1
Aberdeen vs Dundee (Sunday, 3pm)
Aberdeen's first league goal of the season should arrive at Pittodrie on Sunday, and with it a first win.
The Dons had to have been buoyed by their resilience in Thursday's 3-2 home loss to mighty Shakhtar Donetsk in the Conference League, a game in which Jimmy Thelin's men managed 11 shots despite seeing just 28 percent of the ball.
Dundee were pretty toothless in defeat to St Mirren a week ago.
Score prediction: Aberdeen 1 Dundee 0
Falkirk vs Rangers (Sunday, 3pm)
The misery piles up for Russell Martin after Thursday's 2-1 loss at Sturm Graz in the Europa League.
There is nothing about them to suggest they are consistent enough to get up, even at a place like Falkirk who will give it their all in search of a second win of term.
Score prediction: Falkirk 1 Rangers 1
