Derek McInnes' Hearts know that avoiding defeat for a fourth time against Celtic this season on Saturday will secure the title
  • Hearts have not lost in three league games against Celtic this season

  • The Bhoys are unbeaten since the start of April, winning six straight games

  • Relegated Livingston have managed just one victory since August

The Scottish Premiership title race will now be decided in a straight shootout as leaders Hearts head to Celtic on Saturday with just a point separating the sides.

This is one of the biggest games in Hearts history as they can become the first non-Old Firm club to lift the trophy since Aberdeen back in 1985.

Elsewhere, Hibernian and Motherwell meet at Easter Road in a battle for fourth place and a spot in Conference League qualifying.

Celtic vs Hearts (Saturday, 12.30pm)

If Celtic are to win the Scottish Premiership title and leapfrog Hearts in the final game of the campaign, Martin O’Neill’s side will have to beat the Jambos for the first time this season.

Derek McInnes’ men have already beaten Celtic twice, drawing the most recent clash, and have proved they have what it takes to go the distance.

Having maintained top spot, Hearts have shown great character and battling spirit and can deal with the pressure to earn the point required to be crowned champions.

Score prediction: Celtic 1-1 Hearts

Falkirk vs Rangers (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Rangers have lost all four games since the Scottish Premiership league split and have known they will finish the season in third for a while.

However, heading to Falkirk, who have also lost four of their last five games, Danny Rohl’s men can end the campaign with a victory as they aim to dust themselves down and go again for top spot next season.

Score prediction: Falkirk 0-1 Rangers

Hibernian vs Motherwell (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Hibernian have won two games on the bounce away from home, beating Falkirk and then Rangers at Ibrox, and now head back to Easter Road to host a Motherwell side who have won just once since February.

The two teams are separated by a point and are directly battling it out for fourth place and a spot in next season’s Conference League. The momentum is with Hibs and so a home victory is most likely on Saturday afternoon.

Score prediction: Hibernian 2-1 Motherwell

Dundee vs Aberdeen (Sunday, 2pm)

Dundee host Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon and know a victory would take them above the Dons in secure eighth place.

Following the Scottish Premiership split, Aberdeen have won twice but lost at home to St Mirren last time out while they were held at bottom side Livingston at the start of the month. Dundee however, have been victorious in their last two games at Dens Park and can complete a hat-trick.

Score prediction: Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

Livingston vs Kilmarnock (Sunday, 2pm)

Relegated Livingston have endured a nightmare campaign and will be glad to see the back of the season having won just one game since August. That victory was a recent 2-0 triumph over St Mirren, but a final three points is unlikely on Sunday.

Kilmarnock have won three straight matches to secure Scottish Premiership safety, scoring three goals in each game, and should have enough quality to earn a fourth successive victory.

Score prediction: Livingston 0-2 Kilmarnock

St Mirren vs Dundee United (Sunday, 2pm)

St Mirren may have beaten Aberdeen last time out but will finish 11th regardless of Sunday's result, and must now prepare for a relegation play-off against either Dunfermline or Partick Thistle.

Momentum could well be important so a draw against Dundee United would be a decent result this weekend.

Score prediction: St Mirren 1-1 Dundee United
