  • Hearts were 2-1 winners over Rangers at Tynecastle in December

  • Celtic face a tricky trip to Hibs on Sunday

  • Relegation rivals Dundee and St Mirren clash at Dens Park

All eyes are on the Scottish capital on Monday night when title rivals Hearts and Rangers meet at Tynecastle.

Before Monday's showdown reigning champions Celtic will look to heap the pressure on when they head to Easter Road to take on Hibs.

Elsewhere, relegation-threatened Dundee and St Mirren meet at Dens Park and Livingston's return to the Championship may be confirmed when Aberdeen are the visitors to Almondvale.

Livingston vs Aberdeen (Friday, 7.45pm)

Livingston are heading for relegation, but they have lost only two of their last eight matches and were well deserved 2-0 winners over St Mirren in Paisley last weekend. Aberdeen have defensive injury worries and have suffered 11 defeats from the last 12 away fixtures.

Score prediction: Livingston 2-1 Aberdeen

Falkirk vs Motherwell (Saturday, 3pm)

Falkirk have enjoyed a superb first season back in the Scottish Premiership, but have found life hard since the split as they have lost to both Rangers and Celtic, as well as suffering penalty shootout heartache in their Scottish Cup semi-final against Dunfermline.

Motherwell arrive on the back of a superb 3-2 win against the Gers at Ibrox and can claim all three points again here.

Score prediction: Falkirk 1-3 Motherwell

Dundee vs St Mirren (Saturday, 3pm)

Dundee and St Mirren will be aiming to move clear of the relegation play-off position, meaning that a tense contest is likely at Dens Park.

The Dee are winless in their last five games, but the Buddies have won only two of 17 away Scottish top-flight games this season, so a low-scoring draw is on the cards.

Score prediction: Dundee 1-1 St Mirren

Kilmarnock vs Dundee United (Saturday, 3pm)

Kilmarnock have won only four of their last 28 matches and they are deep in relegation danger.

They carried little attacking threat when losing 1-0 at Aberdeen last time out and visitors Dundee United can have hopes of success at Rugby Park.

Score prediction: Kilmarnock 0-1 Dundee United

Hibs vs Celtic (Sunday, 12pm)

This looks like a tricky test for champions Celtic, who were beaten 2-1 by Hibs at Parkhead in February.

However, the Leith side finished with only nine men when losing 2-1 to Hearts last weekend, with both Felix Passlack and Raphael Sallinger suspended for this fixture.

The Hoops may grind out a narrow victory and put their feet up ahead of the crunch Monday evening fixture.

Score prediction: Hibs 0-1 Celtic

Hearts vs Rangers (Monday, 5.30pm)

There is a huge title battle at Tynecastle on Monday night and Hearts can land a telling blow.

The Jambos will be buzzing following their last-gasp Easter Road success over Hibs last weekend, while Rangers lost ground with a 3-2 defeat to Motherwell.

That result indicates the vulnerability of the Gers against better teams and the Jambos are certainly a top-level outfit, meaning the capital outfit can triumph on home turf.

Score prediction: Hearts 2-1 Rangers
