Jota nears Celtic return as Superstar from Portugal set for October comeback
Jota is nearing his Celtic return as the Scottish Champions ramp up the attacker’s training regime. The 27-year-old has been injured since Celtic’s title win up at Tannadice in Brendan Rodgers’ second season.
Now, Sun Sport reports that Jota is increasing his training workload as he prepares to make his return to first team football.
The report states that he is expected to be back in action by the end of October, which tallies with the information that the Superstar from Portugal would be back in contention after the International break. Something that was exclusively revealed by Celtic Shorts last month.
A lot has happened at the club since then, Rodgers’ departure the following season along with Wilfried Nancy’s disastrous spell and then Martin O’Neill’s sensational return to Paradise. In that time, Jota has been working back from an ACL injury.
The Superstar from Portugal has been working over in Lisbon, building on from a subsequent setback and is back in Glasgow, training as he looks to return to fitness.
The Celtic squad require attacking quality and Jota is a player that can create chances and can improve the feel around the squad.
