‘Done’ – Connor Goldson reveals moment Rangers knew Celtic had won the league
Brendan Rodgers’ side had emerged from a chaotic 3-3 draw at Ibrox before finding form at the crucial stage of the campaign.
Rangers suffered a damaging 3-2 defeat away to Ross County on April 14 before dropping another two points in a goalless draw at Dundee just three days later.
Five games remained, but Goldson has now admitted he already believed the title race was over.
Speaking to Open Goal, Goldson was asked whether he knew after the Dundee draw that Rangers had lost the league.
Goldson replied: “I felt like I was in a good place then all of a sudden it’s like a train hits you 100 miles per hour. Do you know what I mean? You feel the whole thing.
“Yeah. Done. And like physically then it hits you mentally. So even though like physically you don’t feel great in the season but mentally you’re winning, you’re winning, you’ve won the cup, you’re going for the league, you keep yourself going.
“But then after it when you lose at Ross County then you’re going up to Dundee. Mentally you’re finished, physically my body was in pieces.”
