It’s been almost a year since Brendan Rodgers sensationally quit Celtic, but the Irishman has booked a return to Glasgow, for a fan led event dubbed as ‘an evening with Brendan Rodgers’.

Brendan now managing Saudi Arabian side AI Quadsiah is one of the most successful Celtic managers of all time, and solidified his place as a Celtic icon by leading the side to an unsurpassed Invincible Treble in his first ever campaign in charge of the hoops.

Brendan also led to the club to back-to back-trebles, before laying the foundations for a third and is quite rightly regarded as an ‘elite’ coach.

Earlier today A Celtic State of Mind host Paul John Dykes has announced that his Celtic fan media outlet will host an event with the Northern Irishman in June 2027 at the 2000 capacity Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow. It’s sure to big draw for the Celtic supporters, as Brendan is one of the most successful Celtic managers of the modern era.

But due to his controversial exit last October, curious supporters will be desperate to ask the Irishman the ins and outs of his exit from the club, with his relationship with Dermot Desmond said to have suffered as a result.

The Irish billionaire immediately took to the official Celtic FC website to unleash an incredible rant directed towards Brendan Rodgers who to this day has not responded. Before that of course someone from inside the club disgracefully briefed The Scottish Sun to effectively stab Rodgers in the back and from that moment his departure seemed inevitable.

Brendan did state repeatedly that he intended to see out his third and final year of his contract after delivering the double in each of his first two campaigns back at the club.

However a slump in form and defeats to Dundee then title rivals Hearts, resulted in the 53-year-old making comments which suggested he was not being given the proper tools with which to do his job, and not for the first time he was said to have questioned the club’s long term ambitions.

Brendan despite souring his relationship with supporters after leaving for Leicester City in February 2019, Brendan built some bridges with the fans when he sensationally returned in 2023, leading the club to yet more success, before his second untimely exit.

Tickets for the event at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with the former Celtic boss where we will hopefully hear his side of the story will go on sale tomorrow, and they are sure to go quickly.

Brendan Rodgers breaking his silence is significant, so too is his choice to bypass the mainstream media and instead speak directly to a Celtic fan media outlet, one of many that were banned by the club in the aftermath of the Rodgers exit.

Celtic FC now do NOT control the narrative

Celtic FC now do NOT control the narrative. Brendan Rodgers will choose his words carefully and will make sure he misses no-one. Celtic can do nothing at all about it and at the end of the season the truth will out when Brendan Rodgers has his say.
