The former Hoops boss has been announced for An Evening with Brendan Rodgers at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on June 14, 2027, organised by leading Celtic podcast A Celtic State of Mind.

Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, October 2.

Rodgers’ return to the city is certain to attract plenty of interest given the explosive circumstances surrounding the end of his second spell at Celtic.

The 53-year-old stunned Scottish football by resigning from his position almost a year ago, despite previously insisting he intended to see out his three-year contract.

Just hours after his departure, Celtic’s principal shareholder Dermot Desmond issued an extraordinary statement in which he branded Rodgers “divisive” and “self-serving”, while accusing him of contributing to a “toxic” atmosphere around the club.

Rodgers has remained silent on the fallout since leaving Parkhead, meaning his Glasgow appearance could provide the first opportunity for supporters to hear his side of the story in detail.

The Irishman has since returned to management with Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia, where he has been reunited with former Celtic colleagues John Kennedy and Jack Lyons.
