4 Celtic stars star for national teams and 2 secure wins
Celtic stars Mika Baur, Kasper Hogh, Liam Scales and Auston Trusty were all in action for their respective nations on Sunday.
The UEFA Nations League continued to play out, and for those playing on Sunday, it was their final fixture of this international window. Meanwhile, USMNT had a friendly with Mexico on Saturday night, which was Sunday morning UK time, and they have a friendly with Canada still to fit in before players return to club action.
How Celtic's international stars got on
Baur made his second senior Germany appearance in a goalless draw away from home against Greece. The midfielder came off the bench with seven minutes remaining, replacing Tom Bischof.
The result means the group remains ultra-tight going into the last two games next month, with the Netherlands leading with eight points and a better head-to-head record than Greece, who also have eight points. Germany are just behind on six points.
Elsewhere, Kasper Hogh came off the bench again for Denmark, joining the action against Wales in Cardiff with eight minutes remaining. Denmark won a close game thanks to a Rasmus Hojlund penalty that came from a goalkeeping mistake.
Denmark are second in the group and three points ahead of both Wales and Norway, but they won't be catching Portugal, who have a perfect record and 12 points.
Elsewhere, Liam Scales started for Ireland in a frustrating draw against Israel behind closed doors in Serbia. Scales played a full 90 minutes in the draw, that saw Troy Parrot score from the spot and Dor Peretz equalise two minutes after half-time.
The result means Ireland are third in the group, only behind Kosovo on head-to-head record, while Austria lead the group with eight points, so there is still plenty to play for.
In North America on Saturday night, which was Sunday morning UK time, Auston Trusty played a full 90 minutes at centre-back for USMNT as they defeated Mexico 3-0 at home. That was a friendly fixture.
