Why Florian Wirtz won't leave Liverpool for Bayern Munich revealed by insider

Florian Wirtz will not be departing Liverpool for Bayern Munich any time soon as he's too expensive for the Germans, reports insider Christian Falk.
There has been much speculation that Wirtz could return to Germany at some point. It feels evident that if he is going to depart Liverpool, where things are not working, a return to his native country makes the most sense.
Last season, the £116.5million signing from Bayer Leverkusen was directly involved in 16 goals, scattered across competitions, and this term, he's assisted once in six games.
There's a sense it's not known exactly where he fits, and it feels as if that wouldn't be the case were he to go back to Germany, and with Bayern having wanted him when he joined Liverpool, that move would make sense.
But per German insider Plettenberg, there's no truth that Bayern would go for Wirtz in January.
He states the attacking midfielder is simply too expensive for the German giants at the moment.
Though he's out of form, Liverpool would still expect a big fee for a player they paid £116.5million for only last year, and, certainly in January, Bayern don't have that kind of money, and have in fact never paid close to what Liverpool did when they signed Wirtz.
Florian Wirtz expected to come good
Plettenberg expects that the midfielder is going to come good at Anfield, anyway, and therefore they'll not look to sell him in January.
He wrote: 'At Liverpool, he may not yet be performing like he was with Bayer Leverkusen, but I think he’s improving. It takes time with a new team.
'I also haven’t heard anything from the Liverpool side indicating that they’d be prepared to sell him this winter. Of course, that doesn’t stop there being a lot of rumours around his situation regardless.
'As far as Bayern Munich are concerned, as I’ve already mentioned, there’s nothing concrete. We have to look at the situation of Michael Olise – is he signing a new contract next summer?
'If not and he has to be sold, then Wirtz would be one of the first options Bayern Munich would look into. However, there are no talks, no deals, and I remain convinced that Florian Wirtz will have a good season for Liverpool.'
