Chelsea are on the hunt for a new manager once more, after Liam Rosenior was sacked following a poor run of form.
Callum McFarlane has been placed in interim charge for the rest of the season and made an ideal start by guiding the Blues to the FA Cup final, but it’s expected that a new name will be in the Stamford Bridge dugout come summer.

Andoni Iraola
Iraola recently confirmed he will be leaving Bournemouth at the end of the campaign, and the Spaniard is bound to be a man in demand.
Renowned for his high-intensity approach, the 43-year-old led Bournemouth to their best-ever top-flight points haul of 48 in 2023/24, his first season at the helm – when the Cherries finished 12th in the Premier League – and has overseen victories against the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Cesc Fabregas
A Premier League legend, Fabregas made 198 appearances for Chelsea and starred in their 2014/15 and 2016/17 title triumphs.
Since hanging up his boots three years ago, the Spanish World Cup and Euros winner has caught the eye as head coach of Serie A side Como, who he’s taken into contention for an historic maiden Champions League qualification with a possession-based approach emblematic of the teams he played in.
Filipe Luis
Another ex-Chelsea player being touted as Rosenior’s successor, Filipe Luis recently left his first frontline managerial role as head coach of Flamengo in his native Brazil.
The former defender – who made 26 appearances for the Blues en route to their 2014/15 Premier League and EFL Cup double – won multiple trophies while coaching Flamengo, most notably the 2025 Copa Libertadores.
Marco Silva
Currently focused on qualifying for Europe with Fulham, could Silva make the switch between West London rivals?
The Portuguese has been in charge at Craven Cottage since 2021, steering Fulham back to the Premier League in his first season and subsequently consolidating their place in the top flight.
Diego Simeone

Synonymous with a gritty and robust defensive approach, the Argentine’s coaching style reflects the fiery approach he took to playing the game – and Atletico have reaped the rewards, winning two LaLiga titles, two Europa Leagues and a Copa del Rey under Simeone’s stewardship.
Frank Lampard
Undeniably one of Chelsea’s greatest players of all time, Lampard has already had two stints in the Stamford Bridge dugout – one permanent, one as caretaker.
The jury would surely be out were he to return – he flattered to deceive in both spells as Blues boss – but the three-time Premier League-winning midfielder has just increased his stock by leading Coventry City to the Championship title.
Oliver Glasner
Glasner will be available when he departs his post as Crystal Palace manager at the end of the campaign, having delivered the South London club’s first major trophy in the form of last season’s FA Cup.
The Austrian will be hoping to add to that with Conference League glory, having steered Palace to the semi-finals in their maiden major European adventure, and he’s previously won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt.
