A show of strength
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal kicked off the new Premier League season with a comfortable 3-0 win over Coventry City.
The Gunners are chasing back-to-back titles after finishing ahead of Manchester City last season.
Kai Havertz opened the scoring in the 15th minute, the German turning home a low Riccardo Calafiori cross.
Bukayo Saka doubled the lead eight minutes later. Christos Tzolis threaded a low pass in from the left, and when Coventry keeper Carl Rushworth tried to clear it, the ball fell to Saka, who fired into the empty net.
Martin Odegaard capped the win in the 49th minute. White fed the ball in from the right and the Norwegian lashed a powerful strike into the left corner.
