Gabriel Martinelli bid farewell to Arsenal as he joined Al Hilal on a permanent deal yesterday, ending his seven-year spell in North London.
The Brazilian signed for the Gunners as an 18-year-old from Ituano in the fourth division of his home nation and he made his debut in a 1-0 win away to Newcastle before going on to prove himself as an incredible talent in an outstanding debut season.
He evolved from being a gamble signing to one of the best wingers in the Premier League at one point, scoring 62 goals in 278 appearances for Arsenal with these five strikes standing out as Martinelli's best for the club.

1. Manchester City (September 2025)
Picture the scene. Arsenal are trailing 1-0 to Manchester City in the third minute of stoppage time in an early potentially defining clash for the Premier League title. Up steps Martinelli.
Eberechi Eze lifted the ball over the top for the Brazilian to calmly bring down and deftly lob over a rushing Gianluigi Donnarumma, levelling for his side in the dying moments.
A goal that required such perfect execution and brilliant skill, it proved monumental in the title race as a win over the Gunners would have given City momentum much further down the line. Martinelli prevented that with this stunning strike.
2. Chelsea (January 2020)
Just months after he joined Arsenal and started to show how promising he was in cup competitions, Martinelli announced himself to the Premier League with a rapid run and finish away to London rivals Chelsea.
With his side a goal and a man down, the Brazilian picked up the ball from a cleared corner in his own half and raced all the way to the Blues' goal, beating a slipping N'Golo Kanté before converting past Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The goal quickly gained plenty of praise and also criticism with some feeling he only made it all the way because Kanté slipped, but how many teenagers score goals like that at Stamford Bridge? Not many, and Martinelli was one of them.
