Wolves have known they will be playing in the Championship next season for some time and they host a Fulham side who could still qualify for Europe.

The Cottagers' chances of competing in a continental competition are admittedly slim, as they need to win both of their remaining games and hope a few other teams slip up.

However, they should still be expected to win at Molineux, regardless of any additional motivation, as the home side have endured a woeful campaign.

Team news

Wolves have concerns first-choice goalkeeper Jose Sa, who is rated as a doubt, while fellow shot-stopper Sam Johnstone is definitely unavailable. If Sa does miss out Daniel Bentley should start in goal.

Fulham will be without central defender Joachim Andersen due to suspension and Ryan Sessegnon misses out with injury, but Alex Iwobi could return after a hamstring problem.

The stats

Wolves have lost 11 of their 18 home Premier League games and have conceded 66 goals in 36 games in the league this season, 33 at home and 33 away.

Fulham have only won one of their last five matches and have scored just a single goal during that run.

The Cottagers have won the last two meetings of these two sides, including a 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage on the first day of November last year.

Prediction

Wolves appear to have downed tools completely as the season draws to a close and they look set for yet another defeat this weekend.

Fulham are in the midst of a tough period themselves and their away form has been fairly poor all season, but with Europe still an outside possibility, they should be able to come away from Molineux with three points.

The Cottagers have eight points from their last seven games and the three defeats they have suffered during that period have come against teams who are currently above them in the standings, so they should find Wolves a little easier to deal with.

Wolves have four defeats in their last five games and the West Midlands outfit have really struggled in front of goal during that period.

The Cottagers have scored a respectable 44 goals in their 36 Premier League games this season and should be able to find a way through against this leaky Wolves defence.

As Rob Edwards' side have only scored once across their last five games one goal may be enough to win it for Fulham and they look capable of picking up a victory that could keep their European bid running until the final round of fixtures.
