After ten years, 20 trophies and completely changing how football is played in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola will leave Manchester City this summer.
The match against Aston Villa is his last in charge of the Cityzens after decade of unheralded success for Manchester’s blue half.
Villa head into this clash on a massive high. Not only did Unai Emery’s men confirm a return to the Champions League last week, but they ended a 30-year wait for a trophy in midweek with the Spaniard’s latest Europa League triumph.

Team news
Guardiola doesn’t have any fresh injury concerns or issues ahead of this clash at the Etihad.
Josko Gvardiol is now available after missing the previous few months due to a serious tibial fracture and he should start the game.
Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez revealed that he broke his finger during the warm up ahead of the Europa League final, but played the full 90 minutes. It remains to be seen if Emery starts him this weekend.
Elsewhere, Brazilian midfielder Alysson won't be available due to a muscle injury.
The stats
This fixture has been fairly even over the previous few seasons in the Premier League. Indeed, the 2020/21 campaign was the last to feature either side doing the league double.
Villa have won three of the previous five meetings between the clubs, although all of those took place at Villa Park.
You have to go all the way back to April 2007 for the last time Villa secured three points at the Etihad.
Across 13 meetings since the start of the 2020, both teams have scored in ten of those.
Eight of Man City’s nine victories in that period have also featured both teams finding the back of the net.
City boast the best attacking record in the top flight having scored 76 goals this term. Only two teams have scored fewer than Villa’s 54 goals in the top-half of the table.

Prediction
While City won't be Premier League champions this season, there is no doubt the squad will be desperate to give Guardiola a fitting finish.
The Spaniard has been revolutionary during his decade in charge of City and the emotion at the Etihad will surely be enough to see City over the line.
Given the history between these two clubs in recent years, Villa should get on the scoresheet, although tiredness/elation/hangovers (delete where appropriate) following Wednesday’s European success might play a factor in their overall performance.
As such, City should win, but Villa can net at least once.
