This season has been viewed as a campaign of progress for Everton who remain in the hunt for Europe after two relegation escapes in the last four years.
However, while the Toffees are looking up again under manager David Moyes, the team has fluffed its lines during the business end of the season, managing just one win in seven.
Sunderland though, have not fared much better, with two victories in that time. They do have the incentive to take the game to Everton, though, as they sit just one point behind the Blues in the table.
