  • Leeds’'last six league games have produced 22 goals

  • Four of the last five head-to-heads have gone over 2.5 goals

  • Recommended bet: Over 2.5 goals

Leeds have pulled six points clear of danger in the Premier League but they cannot take anything for granted in a competitive race to avoid relegation.

They face a tough test when they visit Aston Villa, who still have faint hopes of challenging for the title, on Saturday.

However, Unai Emery's team have stuttered of late, winning just one of their last four games in all competitions.

Team news

Marco Bizot is suspended after being sent off in Aston Villa's FA Cup defeat to Newcastle last weekend, while John McGinn, Youri Tielemans and Boubacar Kamara are out injured.

Matty Cash and Andres Garcia face a race against time to prove their fitness for this clash.

Leeds have four players who are facing late fitness tests, with Noah Okafor struggling with a thigh injury and Dan James dealing with a back issue.

Both Pascal Struijk and Anton Stach are looking to overcome groin problems ahead of the trip to Villa Park.

The stats

Villa have typically dominated the recent meetings between these two teams, as they are unbeaten in the last six head-to-heads, registering four wins and two draws

Four of Leeds' last six league games have gone over 3.5 goals, while the Villans have lost three of their last five home games.

Both teams have scored in four of the Whites' last five matches.

Prediction

Aston Villa suffered FA Cup disappointment against Newcastle last weekend, losing 3-1 after Bizot was sent off in a moment of madness.

The Villans need to bounce back as they host Leeds in the Premier League, with their faint hopes of winning the title still alive.

They finished last weekend seven points behind league leaders Arsenal but perhaps a top-four finish will be their priority given their recent struggles.

Unai Emery’s side have wobbled recently, winning just two of their last six games in the Premier League. They are facing a Leeds team who scraped past Birmingham on penalties in the FA Cup and will now look to extend what has been a solid run for the Whites.

Daniel Farke’s side have been involved in a number of high-scoring affairs recently and should be able to test a Villa side who have been struggling.
