Arsenal lead the Premier League by five points from Manchester City
Liverpool can strengthen their Champions League hopes with a win over West Ham
Igor Tudor will expect more from Tottenham when they face neighbours Fulham
Premier League matchday 28 kicks off on Friday, when Aston Villa head to West Midlands rivals Wolves.
There are then five games on Saturday, followed by four on Sunday, culminating in a London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.
Wolves vs Aston Villa (Friday, 8pm)
Wolves are 17 points adrift of safety and experienced more woe in missing a penalty and conceding a late goal in last Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
Neighbours Aston Villa are enduring a mini-crisis, but can boost their Champions League hopes by grinding out a narrow victory.
Score prediction: Wolves 0-1 Aston Villa
Bournemouth vs Sunderland (Saturday 12.30pm)
Sunderland have lost their last three Premier League games and have not won away from home since October.
By contrast, Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last seven league matches and are back in European contention.
Score prediction: Bournemouth 3-1 Sunderland
Liverpool vs West Ham (Saturday, 3pm)
History is against West Ham, as they head to Anfield having only won one of their last 52 league trips to the ground, a 3-0 victory in August 2015.
They are starting to show signs of improvement in their quest to beat the drop, but while out of form, Liverpool are a real bogey team and could repeat last season's 2-1 victory.
Score prediction: Liverpool 2-1 West Ham
Newcastle vs Everton (Saturday, 3pm)
Tuesday's 3-2 Champions League win over Qarabag was closer than expected but also allowed Eddie Howe to rest some of his Newcastle players.
Everton head to St James' Park after back-to-back defeats to Bournemouth and Manchester United and may falter again.
Score prediction: Newcastle 2-0 Everton
Burnley vs Brentford (Saturday, 3pm)
This is a must-win if Burnley are to avoid the drop and they have shown improvement, drawing 1-1 at Chelsea last week.
Brentford won November's reverse game 3-1 but last week's 2-0 home defeat to Brighton hinted that, even with a first-ever European finish still a possibility, some of their players have started looking towards the summer.
Score prediction: Burnley 2-0 Brentford
Leeds vs Manchester City (Saturday, 5.30pm)
Daniel Farke's decision to switch to a back three at half-time in November's 3-2 defeat at the Etihad transformed Leeds' season, and they have only lost twice in the league since.
However, City have won 4-0 and 3-1 on their last two trips to Elland Road, with that second scoreline providing a potential clue.
Score prediction: Leeds 1-3 Manchester City
Brighton vs Nottingham Forest (Sunday, 2pm)
Last Saturday's win at Brentford ended a run of six without a victory for Brighton and they could follow up on Sunday.
The early signs are good that Vitor Pereira can get more out of this Nottingham Forest squad than his predecessors, but fatigue from playing in midweek might be impossible to avoid.
Score prediction: Brighton 2-0 Nottingham Forest
Fulham vs Tottenham (Sunday, 2pm)
Winning 3-1 at Sunderland ended Fulham's three-game losing streak and they will be excited to face a Tottenham side in genuine relegation danger.
Spurs showed signs of fight in last week's 4-1 defeat to Arsenal, but continue to make errors.
Igor Tudor has had another week to work with his players, but that might not be enough.
Score prediction: Fulham 2-1 Tottenham
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace (Sunday, 2pm)
The return of Champions League football to Old Trafford looks a real possibility for Manchester United after last Monday's 1-0 win at Everton.
They host a Crystal Palace team that appears safe after beating Wolves, but whose coach and several players might be eying the departure lounge.
Score prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Crystal Palace
Arsenal vs Chelsea (Sunday, 4.30pm)
November's reverse game featured a first-half red card for Moises Caicedo, however, the Ecuadorian's exit inspired one of his team's best performances of the season.
They need to repeat those levels against an Arsenal team, who, while not inspiring confidence, remain in control of the title race.
Score prediction: Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea
