Habeeb Ogunneye has publicly confirmed his departure from Manchester United, thanking the club on social media as he prepares for a reported move to Arsenal.
The academy right-back posted a farewell on Instagram, marking the end of a five-year association with Carrington. He did not name his next club directly, but The Peoples Person reports he appears set to join Arsenal on a permanent basis.

A familiar academy pathway
Ogunneye first appeared for United’s under-18s at just 15 and has since represented England at under-17 level. Last season saw him split his time between senior football and Carrington, spending the first half on loan at Newport County before returning to United for the second half of the campaign.
His exit fits a wider pattern of academy turnover at Old Trafford this summer. Jacob Devaney has headed north on loan to Hibernian, Dan Gore looks poised for a move to Luton Town, and Ethan Williams has already left permanently.
