Fenerbahce have registered interest in Marcus Rashford but the Manchester United forward wants to remain in a top-five league, reports Pete O'Rourke.

Rashford's future is up in the air after Barcelona decided to sign Anthony Gordon and not bring the United man back. He was hopeful of remaining with the Spanish giants, but it now looks increasingly unlikely he'll go back.

While Michael Carrick is said to be open to having Rashford in his squad, reports have largely suggested that he'll depart United on a permanent this summer.

There's a release clause set at £40million, but no big club has decided to trigger it yet.

Of late, there have been reports of interest from Fenerbahce. Football Insider's O'Rourke suggests they are making an ambitious play for the United winger.

However, Rashford is not expected to make that move.

Indeed, he's expected to look for a move that keeps him in a top-five European league. The winger is keeping his options open and it's said that a move to a better league is expected if he departs Old Trafford this summer.

Premier League clubs want Rashford

The report suggests Tottenham and Aston Villa are both interested in signing Rashford. The forward spent a successful half season on loan at Villa Park before he headed to Barca for the entirety of last season.

Those sides would be able to land Rashford for £40million, but the expectation of wages around £300,000 per week would hurt the chances of some clubs landing him, with some surely hopeful of seeing him drop his demands if he's to move.

In any case, O'Rourke has reiterated that Turkey does not look a likely location this summer, nor has it at any point.

He said: "I would say it's highly unlikely. He's been linked in the past with moves to Turkey, but the player has never really indicated a desire to move to Turkey at this stage of his career."

Rashford will return to pre-season training at United, amid the suggestion there's still a chance he remains there if no other side attempts to land him before the end of the summer.
