Manchester United consider move for France international who could cost £60 million
Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Bournemouth left-back Adrien Truffert as they continue to assess options for the position.
The France international has impressed since arriving at the Vitality Stadium, and his form has now attracted serious attention from one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
Adrien Truffert attracts Manchester United interest
According to reports (h/t CaughtOffside), United are closely monitoring the 24-year-old and could look to make their interest more concrete in the future. The Red Devils have been searching for a long-term solution at left-back, with Luke Shaw no longer looking like a reliable option.
Truffert could therefore be an ideal addition for the Old Trafford club. He has already gained valuable Premier League experience and offers plenty of energy on both sides of the game.
The defender is also reportedly open to moving to Manchester United, which could encourage the club if they decide to step up their pursuit.
However, agreeing a deal with Bournemouth could prove to be considerably more difficult.
Truffert could be a costly addition
Bournemouth are known for driving a hard bargain for their key players, and Truffert is believed to be valued at around £60 million.
The Cherries have already generated significant fees from the departures of players such as Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Antoine Semenyo, while several others in their squad continue to attract interest from bigger clubs.
United will therefore need to decide whether Truffert is worth such a substantial investment.
His age, Premier League experience and attacking qualities could make him an attractive long-term option, but Bournemouth are unlikely to make negotiations straightforward.
If United remain serious about strengthening at left-back, Truffert could certainly be one to watch in the coming months.
