Crystal Palace want more than £50million to even consider allowing Ismaila Sarr to leave the club this month, with Galatasaray continuing their attempts to sign the Senegal international amid rival interest from Manchester United, TEAMtalk can reveal.

Galatasaray have already made progress on the player’s side, with sources confirming that they have offered Sarr a contract which his representatives have agreed to.

However, that is currently the easier part of the transfer, with Palace making it clear they have no intention of sanctioning a sale unless their valuation is met. Even then, they insist that they don’t want to sell in this window.

Sarr missed Palace’s opening Premier League game of the season, a 2-0 defeat at Everton, because of injury and has also missed a significant portion of training this week.

Palace sources insist the 28-year-old is genuinely injured and that his absence has nothing to do with the growing interest from Istanbul.

Nevertheless, TEAMtalk understands Sarr is keen on the possibility of leaving Selhurst Park, while Galatasaray are pushing to try to make the move happen.

Galatasaray had been given encouragement by intermediaries that Sarr could potentially be available for around £30million, but we understand that figure is nowhere near enough.

The message coming out of south London is that Palace want at least £50million, and ideally more, before they would even consider doing business.

A fee of £50million would make Sarr the second-most expensive player in Turkish football history, behind only Victor Osimhen, and TEAMtalk understands Galatasaray would currently be highly unlikely to go to that level.

Sarr’s situation is also being monitored by Manchester United, who have retained an interest in the winger since TEAMtalk first revealed their admiration earlier this summer.

United continue to keep abreast of developments, although we understand a move for Sarr would also prove difficult given Palace’s stance.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray have another Premier League target with whom they share a similar situation.

They are also working on Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, who has been told he can leave north London and, like Ismaila Sarr, has already agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants.

An agreement between Galatasaray and Tottenham is not yet in place, but that deal is currently viewed as a more realistic avenue than their attempt to sign the Palace winger.

For now, Palace are standing firm and there is a significant gap between their valuation and what Galatasaray appear prepared to pay.
