Man City boss Maresca on Bouaddi, another player being expected to leave, and trio’s fitness
Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca says new signing Ayyoub Bouaddi is ready to make his debut against Crystal Palace on Friday.
The 18-year-old midfielder joined City from Lille this week and could immediately be involved after completing his £86m move to the club.
“Yeah, he is ready,” Maresca said. “He was working with his former club so he’s fit.
“We’ll see how long he needs in terms of that adaptation but for sure he’s ready.”
Maresca also confirmed Omar Marmoush is expected to leave City before the transfer window closes, with a move to Tottenham having been agreed.
“I think Omar is set to leave,” he said. “It’s not done yet, we are waiting for that.
“Nico Gonzalez left, Savio left, and probably Omar is going to leave.”
Marmoush’s departure would follow Nico Gonzalez and Savio’s recent exits for Newcastle and Spurs respectively.
Maresca also provided a fitness update on Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Doku and Matheus Nunes ahead of Friday’s game at Crystal Palace.
“Elliot is fully fit, last week was just for cramp,” he said.
“Jeremy is still out and Matheus we’ll see. He’s still not 100%.”
