Liverpool have reopened talks with the representatives of Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi over a potential January switch, reports TEAMtalk.
The Reds came close to signing Guehi on deadline day in September but Palace pulled the plug on the deal late on as they failed to bring in a replacement.
Guehi is out of contract at the end of the season and is reluctant to extend his stay at Selhurst Park, meaning Palace need to sell in January if they are to secure a fee for their captain.

La Liga giants Real Madrid and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, but would rather wait until the summer to secure his services.
The England international is free to agree a pre-contract with overseas sides in January, meaning domestic teams would need to act swiftly in order to land the defender.
And Liverpool are aiming to firm up their interest in Guehi in order to steal a march on their European rivals as they look to strengthen in defence.
The Premier League champions did bring in teenager Giovanni Leoni from Parma over the summer yet the Italian suffered a season-ending ACL injury on his Reds debut against Southampton earlier in the year.
With Virgil van Dijk in the latter years of his career and Ibrahima Konate out of contract at the end of the season, Liverpool are prepared to bring in a new centre-back next month.
Reds confident they can negotiate lower fee for Palace captain
Liverpool are also confident they can negotiate a lower fee with Palace for Guehi having agreed to pay £35m for the former Chelsea trainee over the summer.
Palace had demanded upwards of £70m for Guehi at the start of the year, but the Reds feel they can land their number one defensive target for a fee closer to £30m in the New Year.
Guehi has been a key player for Palace this season having started all but one of their 13 league matches this season.
And the Eagles will hope to get back to winning ways when they take on Burnley on Wednesday night having fallen to a 2-1 home loss to Manchester United at the weekend.
