Liverpool Plot Big-Money Move for Tottenham Star Micky van de Ven as Real Madrid Circle

Liverpool are ready to firm up their interest in Tottenham centre-back Micky van de Ven as part of a spectacular summer splurge, reports TEAMtalk.
The Reds invested heavily in the squad last summer, bringing in Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz to strengthen in attack.
Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong both joined from Bournemouth and Bayer Leverkusen, respectively, but Liverpool need investment at centre-back.
Giovanni Leoni arrived from Parma but the teenager suffered a season-ending ACL injury on his debut earlier in the season.
Liverpool ready to make Van de Ven move
And having missed out on Marc Guehi, who moved to Manchester City on Monday, the Reds are already planning their summer targets, with Van de Ven high on the club’s wishlist.
The former Wolfsburg man has established himself as a fan favourite for the north London side after moving to the capital in 2023.
However, Spurs’ downturn in fortunes under Thomas Frank has seen Van de Ven question his future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Netherlands international is contracted to Spurs until 2029, so the club are under no pressure to sell in the foreseeable future, while the club are desperate to tie the centre-back down to a new deal.
Reds ready to spend big in the summer
Liverpool, meanwhile, are planning to spend big again in the summer, with a new centre-back, a central midfielder, a left-back and a right-back expected to arrive, this despite the signings of Kerkez and Frimpong last year.
The defending Premier League champions would face competition for Van de Ven, however, with La Liga giants Real Madrid also monitoring the 24-year-old.
Real Madrid also want Spurs star
Los Blancos are expected to target at least one new centre-back at the end of the season with David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger set to depart at some point in 2026.
Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in Ibrahima Konate, whose Liverpool contract expires in the summer and reports this week suggest the Frenchman has rejected the club’s latest offer.
Konate has also been linked with a return to France, with Parisian powerhouse PSG considering a move for the 26-year-old.
