Liverpool may have already made what they believe will be a decisive third bid for Yankuba Minteh, and there could be one more signing at Anfield after deals for the Brighton man and Bradley Barcola have been done.

Liverpool are primed to be among the busier clubs in the final week of the summer transfer window. The club’s top priority is no secret – sign two more wingers despite already banking Victor Munoz.

Barcola is their undisputed top target and personal terms with the France international are in place.

Liverpool and PSG are in daily contact regarding the transfer fee and deal structure, and the belief is the Ligue 1 champions will lower their asking price to around £120m in the final days.

Brighton’s Minteh is also a wanted man on Merseyside, and like Barcola, he’s agreed personal terms with Liverpool.

The Reds have tabled two bids for the 22-year-old left-footer so far, with the biggest totalling £60m.

And according to Gambian journalist Foday Manneh – who’s been on top of Minteh’s potential transfer to Liverpool throughout August – a third bid will be lodged by Monday morning at the latest.

Now that it’s Monday afternoon at the time of this article’s publication, that decisive third bid may well have been lodged behind the scenes.

Liverpool bidding again for Yankuba Minteh

Taking to X, he wrote: ‘Yankuba Minteh to #LFC; a third bid is expected to be sent to Brighton either tonight or Monday morning.

‘They have discussed and are ready to go with an improved and convincing offer. The player continues to wait to formalise personal terms.’

Regarding how big of a bid is required to get Brighton’s green light, the Daily Mail’s Lewis Steele recently claimed Brighton want to receive at least double the £33m they paid when signing Minteh from Newcastle.

With other reports touting a £70m figure, a bid in the £66m-£70m should be enough to seal this deal.

And according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, there could be a third arrival in the final days.

Liverpool could sign Minteh, Barcola and one more

Liverpool are planning to sign 2-3 more players before Deadline Day,

Bradley Barcola and Yankuba Minteh remain the top priorities for Liverpool at this stage.

There has been speculation Liverpool could sign a central midfielder, such as Adam Wharton, to take the place vacated by Curtis Jones who’s joined Inter Milan.

However, TEAMtalk understands Liverpool have no plans to dip into the market for a new midfielder, and instead are promoting Trey Nyoni up the order to fourth-choice midfielder behind Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister. Wataru Endo provides further cover in the engine room.

Liverpool have explored the strikers market given Alexander Isak is going it alone with Hugo Ekitike sidelined until roughly the turn of the year with a ruptured Achilles.

The Reds recently called about the possibility of signing Real Madrid’s Endrick, though Los Blancos weren’t receptive to their enquiries.
