Youssouf Fofana and Christopher Nkunku have both been told that they need to leave AC Milan this summer. According to a report, several clubs have already expressed an interest.

On Thursday, the Milan head coach Ruben Amorim and the club owner Gerry Cardinale had a meeting at the training ground. The transfer market was the main topic of discussion, as Amorim explained which players he wants to keep and which players can be sold.

Fofana and Nkunku both fell into the latter category. In fact, as revealed by Gazzetta dello Sport, they are two of four players who have been fully excluded. That means no training with the group and no call-ups for the games.

Several clubs are interested

This afternoon, L’Equipe provided an update on the French duo, starting with Nkunku. Barcelona have been admirers of the forward for a long time and they have already initiated talks with his entourage, considering him as a potential replacement for Ferran Torres.

A return to RB Leipzig could also be on the table, while Borussia Dortmund is another German club that could come forward. In short, there doesn’t appear to be a lack of suitors for Nkunku, who could leave on loan.

As for Fofana, it seems he will leave on a permanent transfer as several English clubs have enquired about his situation. Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are two of them, so it remains to be seen if they will open proper negotiations with Milan.
