Pio Esposito has become the latest striker watched by Arsenal, with the Premier League champions in attendance to watch him score for Italy during the international break, reports TEAMtalk.
After failing to sign a new striker in the summer, the Gunners will look to do so either in January or in the summer. That's amid a sense that Viktor Gyokeres might be allowed to leave, with very few minutes given to the Swede this season.
There are a number of good players on the radar at the Emirates, and it's said Italy's Esposito is among them.
Arsenal were reportedly in attendance to watch him net in his nation's 4-1 victory over Turkey of late.
He has caught the eye with performances this season and after the Gunners watched him during the international break, they could firm up interest in 2027.
In five Serie A games this season, Esposito has two goals and an assist to his name, and not only was he on target while Arsenal watched him against Turkey, he also picked up an assist.
Assessments are therefore going well and the striker could play his way into a move either in January or the summer.
The report also detailed links with Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Nicolo Tresoldi.
The Italy against Turkey game also gave Arsenal the chance to watch Arda Guler up close as they continue to watch the midfielder.
Arsenal watching Igor Matanovic
Arsenal have a few strikers in view, having also watched Freiburg's Igor Matanovic of late.
His list of admirers, per Caught Offside, also includes Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Freiburg striker has six goals and two assists in all competitions this season and it's believed that while he could have moved for £30million in the summer, his valuation has already risen to £50million.
There's a sense after a stunning start to the season which has Matanovic just one goal below league leaders that he could well explode in this campaign.
A source reportedly said: "Matanovic looks like someone who’s really ready to explode this season. He’s 23 now, entering his prime, and he knows clubs have been looking at him. He’d be open to moving to England if the offers come in."
Arsenal, as Premier League champions, would surely have one of the best chances of any club to land him, but as one of a number of strikers they're tracking, whether or not they'll decide to remains to be seen.
