Hull City write new history on the ruins of Manchester United
A disappointing start
Hull City made history on Saturday, beating Manchester United 2-0 in the opening round of the English Premier League.
Statistics network "Squawka" confirmed it was Hull City's first Premier League win against Manchester United.
It added: "Manchester United have lost to a newly promoted side in their opening match of the Premier League for the first time in their history".
The network went on: "Manchester United have lost their opening league match for two consecutive seasons for the first time ever in the English Premier League".
United had also fallen to Arsenal 1-0 on the opening day last season.
The "WhoScored" network revealed just how blunt the visitors were. United attempted 39 crosses against Hull City yet failed to register a single headed shot on the opponent's goal.
