Crystal Palace confirm triple deadline day signing but miss out on another
Crystal Palace have completed a triple signing, bringing Ben Chilwell, Quinten Timber and Darío Osorio to Selhurst Park.
Former England international Chilwell has returned to Palace on a permanent deal after previously helping the Eagles win the FA Cup during a loan spell from Chelsea in the second half of the 2024/25 season.
Chilwell said: “It’s amazing to be back. It’s nice to see some familiar faces, and I’m just really excited to get back in, see the boys and the fans – and get going again.”
Palace have also strengthened their midfield with the signing of Netherlands international Timber, who has joined the club on a contract until 2031.
The 25-year-old arrives with experience of playing in the Eredivisie, Ligue 1 and international football, having represented the Netherlands 13 times and featured at this summer’s World Cup.
Meanwhile, Chile winger Osorio has joined Palace from Danish side FC Midtjylland on a season-long loan with an option to make the move permanent.
The 22-year-old arrives after making 121 appearances for Midtjylland, registering 25 goals and 18 assists, and has made an impressive start to the current campaign with two goals and three assists in 11 appearances.
Osorio said: “I’m very excited to be here. It’s a dream I’ve had since I was a child to play in the Premier League – and I can’t wait to get out there and play.”
However, Crystal Palace have missed out on the signing of Malick Fofana, who has instead joined Sunderland.
