Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Brennan Johnson from Premier League rivals Tottenham.

Johnson joined Spurs from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023, and was vital as the north London side claimed their first piece of silverware since 2008 as he scored the only goal in their Europa League triumph over Manchester United back in May.

However, Johnson has found playing time hard to come by under Thomas Frank this season having started just six league games this season.

And the Wales international has today completed a £35m switch to Selhurst Park.

Palace confirm Johnson signing

"Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Wales international Brennan Johnson from Tottenham Hotspur in a club-record deal," a statement read on the club's official website.

"The 24-year-old Wales international has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year deal and will wear the Eagles’ No. 11 shirt.

"Johnson will be eligible to make his Palace debut against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon."

On the signing of Johnson, head coach Oliver Glasner said: "I’m really delighted that Brennan has joined the club. He arrives very early in the window, so credit to the club for making this happen so quickly.

"Brennan will give us options in our attacking play with his pace and goalscoring ability and with all the upcoming games he will be a valuable addition to the squad."

Johnson 'really excited' to sign for Palace

Johnson added: "I'm really excited and I'm really happy. Crystal Palace are such a great club, one that I've always admired.

"It's a great time for me to be here and join the journey that this club is on – I'm super excited."

Johnson has scored two goals in the Premier League this season, netting in wins over Burnley and Manchester City back in August.
