Chelsea are once again interested in in-form Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey after eyeing him in the summer, reports insider Si Phillips.
The Blues had a turnover of strikers in the summer. Nicolas Jackson and Liam Delap both left for Premier League clubs, while Emmanuel Emegha and Danny Welbeck arrived.
Emegha does not appear to be fancied by new boss Xabi Alonso - his signed was already in place before the Spaniard arrived - with Joao Pedro the starter and Welbeck his understudy.
But in the summer, Alonso looked at Sunderland man Brobbey, and amid good form, it's said he's once again being eyed at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea insider Phillips details how the Dutchman, 24, continues to find himself on the club's radar, particularly after his good start to the season.
Brobbey scored a hat-trick in a 5-3 loss against Manchester City in Sunderland's last game, and became only the fifth player in Premier League history to score three goals in a defeat, and the first since Roque Santa Cruz in 2007.
It's felt Brobbey will continue to attract attention if he can keep performing as he did against City, who lead the Premier League at the moment.

When Chelsea were linked with Brobbey in the summer, fans weren't particularly happy, as he'd only scored seven goals in his debut Premier League campaign.
Welbeck, who the Blues opted to sign, had scored 13 Premier League goals, and at 35, is likely happy with his role as the second striker, but knows he'll be given minutes in the League Cup, where he's already scored three goals for Chelsea.
Brobbey, 24, would surely have ambitions to continue as the first-choice striker at a club, but usurping Pedro feels near impossible.
The Brazilian striker bagged 20 goals in all competitions last season and in the Premier League alone this term, has three goals and three assists.
Chelsea do not need to sign another striker if he and Welbeck remain fit, but if they were to land one, it would have to be somebody capable of challenging Pedro for his starting spot.
Brobbey has 10 goals in 36 Premier League games, so even though he scored a hat-trick against the team who are presently the best in the country, he'll have to build on that to show he's worthy of a big move.
