Chelsea, Man Utd offered Myles Lewis-Skelly after Arsenal sign Bruno Guimaraes

Chelsea and Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Arsenal teenager Myles Lewis-Skelly after the Gunners signed Bruno Guimaraes, reports football.london.

Arsenal could reportedly be tempted to sell Lewis-Skelly after signing Guimaraes this summer. The teen spent a lot of last season on the sidelines, but when he returned at the back end of the campaign, he had a great spell in the midfield.

At the time, Mikel Arteta suggested he was probably wrong not to have played Lewis-Skelly more.

But he's since signed Guimaraes for £75million from Newcastle and it's suggested that could push the Englishman out the door.

The report suggests both Chelsea and United have been offered the chance to sign him.

Though they are a London rival, it's suggested that if the Blues make Arsenal a good offer, they'll find it very hard to say no.

Whether or not they do decide to make a move remains to be seen, but it's said Chelsea have had Lewis-Skelly on their radar for a while.

United and Chelsea looking for left-backs

Both United and Chelsea have been on the hunt for new left-backs this summer, so the offer of the teenager makes sense.

Both clubs have been heavily linked with Newcastle's Lewis Hall, but reports suggest the Magpies will make it very difficult for any side to land him this summer.

As a result, United have been linked with the likes of David Raum and Jorge Salinas, among others.

Chelsea have lost Marc Cucurella this summer and were therefore a man down at left-back, hence having been looking at Lewis-Skelly already, but they have since signed Pep Chavarria for the role.

For both clubs, the signing of a young player who's looked sharp in both the Premier League and Champions League, who is proficient in two positions, would be a good one.

The fee it would take for either club to land Lewis-Skelly is not reported, so whether or not a transfer does take place remains to be seen.

But with the offer having been made, there's a chance either the Blues or United could properly pursue the Arsenal man this summer.
