Chelsea in contact to re-sign Lewis Hall after Marc Cucurella move to Real Madrid

Chelsea are in contact to re-sign left-back Lewis Hall after it was revealed Marc Cucurella will leave for Real Madrid, reports Indy Kaila.
Blues man Cucurella revealed he was happy at Stamford Bridge just days ago. But the appointment of Jose Mourinho at Real appears to have changed things for the Spaniard.
The elite boss pushed to sign the Chelsea man and it's been revealed he'll move there after the World Cup. That leaves Jorrel Hato, 20, and Caleb Wiley, 21, as the left-backs available to new boss Xabi Alonso.
It's reported, though, that Chelsea have contacted Lewis Hall. The Newcastle full-back, who came through the Blues' academy, is believed to be discontented with Newcastle's situation and could look to move on.
Chelsea's pursuit will not be simple, though, as it's said they will 'need a lot of convincing' to sign Hall.
Manchester United have long been interested in the Magpies man and it's reported they are 'still leading the race' for him.
Man Utd in contact for Hall
United are the team who have been most heavily-linked with Hall of late, and as per insider Fabrizio Romano, they remain firmly in the hunt for the 21-year-old.
Romano said: “Over the last two, three days, Man Utd kept the contacts alive and active with those close to Lewis Hall, the left-back from Newcastle.
“Manchester United already made contact a few weeks ago. Manchester United have genuine interest in the player. They really like Lewis Hall, so he’s one of the targets."
Chelsea are now said to have made contact, with neither seeming to be in an advanced position as yet, though it seems the fact United have been looking at Hall for longer means they're best placed to land him.
The Newcastle full-back is more of an attacking option than current United left-back Luke Shaw, and that will give Michael Carrick good options depending on what's needed in each game and competition.
That said, they are not at the final stages of a deal yet, and have work to do to get the transfer over the line.
Who Chelsea will target if they do not get Hall remains to be seen, with some fans hoping it's the academy product who is signed.
