Bournemouth Set to Reject Chelsea, Barcelona and Juventus Interest in Marcos Senesi

Bournemouth are planning to rebuff any bids for star centre-back Marcos Senesi despite interest from Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona, reports talkSPORT.
The Argentine has excelled on the south coast following his arrival from Feyenoord in 2022 and continues to prove to be one of the Premier League’s most consistent centre-backs despite a raft of change in the Bournemouth backline in recent months.
The Cherries are desperate to keep the 28-year-old at the Vitality Stadium as they look to build upon a historic campaign under Andoni Iraola.
Bournemouth earned 56 points in the Premier League last season, their highest haul, while also securing a ninth-placed finish.
Senesi's contract expires this summer
However, Senesi’s current contract expires at the end of the season and the defender has turned down a number of offers to extend his stay at the club.
Senesi’s reluctance to put pen to paper on a new deal for Iraola’s side has attracted interest from a number of European heavyweights.
The Blues, who are looking to land Rennes youngster Jeremy Jacquet this month, are admirers of Senesi.
Chelsea would face competition in the race to sign Senesi, with Serie A giants Juventus and La Liga leaders Barcelona also credited with an interest in the Cherries star.
Bournemouth keen to retain centre-back's services
Even so, Bournemouth plan to reject any offers from interested parties for Senesi, despite the possibility of losing their prized defender on a free in the summer.
Bournemouth have already lost a key player in Antoine Semenyo this month, the Ghana star moving to Manchester City, and are reluctant to sell a second star performer in the January window.
Iraola’s side were held to a 1-1 draw with Brighton on Monday night as a late acrobatic Charalampos Kostoulas effort rescued a point for the Seagulls.
The AMEX stalemate means Bournemouth have won only one of their last 14 matches in all competitions, a run of form that saw the Cherries dumped out of the FA Cup and drop to 15th in the Premier League.
