Barcelona rumours don’t change Chelsea’s strong transfer stance over untouchable youngster

Barcelona are being linked with Chelsea winger Estevao – but the Blues are making it very clear that the youngster is not for sale.

Despite today’s rumours of Barcelona interest, Chelsea have made it clear that they consider brilliant young winger Estevao Willian “untouchable” and have big plans for him in the long run.

The teenager hasn’t started a Premier League game yet this season, and it didn’t take long for rumours about him wanting more game time to spread, largely from his native Brazil. But Football.London are among the places reporting that there’s no changing Chelsea’s stance. Opportunities have been limited, but it’s only September, and injuries and rotation are bound to lead to chances in the weeks and months to come.

So Chelsea fans shouldn’t worry immediately about Estevao’s future. We believe all we hear that the club are determined to use him and get the best out of him in the long run.

What would worry us is that these rumours are having to be dismissed after just a few weeks of the season. If there’s this much noise about the winger in mid-September, just imagine how much there will be in a few months if he’s still not getting Premier League starts.
